Welcome to ICDE 2015
The annual ICDE conference addresses research issues in designing, building, managing, and evaluating advanced data-intensive systems and applications. It is a leading forum for researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences. We invite the submission of original research contributions.
The 31st ICDE will be held in Seoul, Korea, April 13-17, 2015. Seoul is the capital city of Korea. The conference will be held at the COEX Convention Center in Gangnam.
Due to its well-known pre-eminence in IT hardware manufacturing, Korea is the perfect venue for addressing emerging database issues such as post-disk database architectures, Internet-of-Things support, and vertical applications. Bloomberg's 2014 rankings name Korea as the most innovative country in the world, due to its combined strengths in manufacturing, R&D intensity, and high-tech density.
The R&D productivity of Korea is backed up by Korean culture proliferation, such as Psy's Gangnam Style (first Youtube video to hit 1Bn views), followed up by a myriad of other cultural and content producers (mobile gaming, TV Dramas, K-Pop, etc). Korean cuisine is also gaining popularity around the world as all things Korean hit trend status.
